Denver, Colo., August 4, 2011- RTL Networks, Inc. is pleased to announce its receipt of the General Services Administration (GSA) 8(a) Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources (STARS) II contract. The GSA 8(a) STARS II is a Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) designed for the procurement of Information Technology (IT) services and solutions. STARS II succeeds the original, extraordinarily successful GSA 8(a) STARS contract. Thousands of IT companies submitted proposals and after nearly two years of evaluations and pricing adjustments, in July of 2011 the GSA announced 599 awardees. RTL Networks, Inc. is one of just three Denver companies to be placed on the contract vehicle.

8(a) STARS II GWAC is a dynamic, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle for prime contractors who are certified as 8(a) small business concerns only. 8(a) STARS II has a five-year base period and one five-year option, a $10 billion ceiling and allows for directed task orders of up to $4 million.

For the Government, 8(a) STARS II offers streamlined procurement for since participants have already been pre-competed. Also, because each technology provider has been proven, agencies are assured quality work with a shorter procurement lead time, lower user access fee all while receiving socioeconomic credit. For RTL Networks, 8(a) STARS II offers a strong complement to its rapidly expanding inventory of contract vehicles and certifications; such as the GSA Schedule 70, Small Business Administration 8(a) certification, VETBiz.gov Service Disabled Veteran certification and others, enabling fast and easy access to the many quality hardware and software products, and to RTL Networks‟ award winning service offerings.

Richard Lewis, President and CEO of RTL Networks had this to say about RTL Networks‟ 8(a) STARS II contract award, “As a small business, we do not have the marketing budget to „canvas‟ the market the way large companies can, so we are grateful to the GSA for producing this vehicle; which is exclusive to small businesses. We are one of the fastest growing companies in the country with a long history of success and customer satisfaction, we are optimistic that this contract will provide our company with additional visibility to agencies who are not familiar with us; but could benefit from our services.”
